He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Reid Sr. and Elnora Harvey Reid; his wife Lois G. Reid; his daughter Sharon Reid; and his brothers, James Eddie Reid, Thomas Western Reid and Charles B. Reid.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Trinette Reid and Stephanie Patrice Reid; his grandchildren, Cameron RaShawn Rowe, Benjamin Alexander Reid, Trever Brian Reid, Kristopher Nicholas Reid and Skylar Trinette Reid; his sisters, Shirley Reid Dixon, Betty Jean Braswell and Oteria Jean Colebrook (Mark); and his close friends, Billy Harvey, Willie Coley and Ben.
