With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geraldine Kuchmay Johnson of Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina, who passed away on November 26, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Geraldine farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Geraldine is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Kuchmay and Nicolas Kuchmay; and her brother John Kuchmay. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Johnson; her daughters, Nancy Johnson Meadows (Wade) of Lexington, VA and Susie Poehler (Denny) of Richmond, VA; her brother Joseph Kuchmay (Joanne) of Florida; and her grandchildren, Will Meadows and Emma Poehler.
