He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Banta and Madeline Kermath Banta. He is survived by: his wife Marie Camus; his brother Robert; his children, Jeanne Marie Goldberg (Douglas), Raymond G. Banta (Lucy), Richard Banta, Geraldine Banta (Robert Solano), Barbara Lent (Jack) and Lawrence Banta; his grandchildren, Sarah Yatto, Meredith Molinaro (Telly), James Banta (Dana), Katherine McGrath (Christopher), Zachary Banta and Emma Lent; his great grandchildren, Madelyn, Abigail Molinaro, Sebastian Bogan, Nathaniel, Jacob McGrath, Wells and Poppy Banta; and his siblings-in-law, Regina Corrado and Edward Camus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Ray's name be made to the American Heart Association, American Lung Association or any other charity of choice.
