She was predeceased by: her parents, Acie Harrelson and Pauline Harrelson; her husband Ralph; her siblings, Alice Britt (Andy), Jenellia Lewis (Alton) and Allen Harrelson (Marie); her daughter Pamela Whitehurst; her son-in-law Timothy Nichols; her grandson Ryan Scott; and her pet Cody.
She is survived by: her children, Crystal Nichols, James Keith Owens, Kevin Earl Scott (Tracy), Christopher Stuart Scott (Katherine) and Ralph Scott Jr.; her grandchildren, Brandon Nichols, Justin Nichols (Kyndle), Bryan Owens (Kasey), Corey Owens (Alisha), Josh Owens, Melissa Scott, Mary Taylor (Tootie), Stacey Whitehurst (Jennifer), Kyle Whitehurst (Amy), Travis Johnson and Dustin Johnson; her sister Janice Roebuck; and her son-in-law Allen Whitehurst. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, 6 great - great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carlisle Funeral Home (701 Hospital Dr, Tarboro, NC 27886). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Edgecombe Memorial Park (2879 US-258, Tarboro, NC 27886).
