It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elgin Gray Wallace of Pinetown, North Carolina, born in Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on September 13, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Wallace and Letha Mae Wallace; his daughter Julie Marie Wallace; his sister Llewlyn Wallace; his nephew James Earl Jefferson, Jr.; and his brothers-in-law, Harvey Wayne Harris, Sr. and Ellsworth Woolard.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Wallace; his children, Mark Allen (Mandy) of Bath, NC and Karen Lee Wallace (Kirk) of Pinetown, NC; his sisters, Thelma Jane Carwell (Ron) of Woodbridge, Dolous Mae Harris of Winterville, NC and Becky Lou Jefferson (Jim) of Washington, NC; and his grandchildren, Cade Allen Wallace and Aubrey Rae Wallace. He is also survived by seven nephews, five nieces, and numerous cousins that he considered as close as his siblings.
