She was predeceased by: her parents, James Walter and Mary Ann Jessup George; her husband Charles Franklin Matthews; and her siblings, Ruby Payne, Elsie Bennett and Billy George.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Siloam Baptist Church (6909 Siloam Rd, Siloam, NC 27047). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
