He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard LeRoy and Alice Genevieve Reid; and his brothers, Jim, Robert, Edward and William Reid.
He is survived by : his close friend Carolyn Reid; his children, Ronnie Reid (Cheri), Laura Reid Thayer (Bruce), Mike Reid (Tina), Don Shaw (Terri) and David Shaw (Heather); and his grandchildren, Danielle McCowan, Brett Reid, Samantha Reid, Matthew Bragg, Christopher Thayer, Nicholas Thayer, Lexi Reid, Justin Reid, Eleni Reid, Jessica Shaw, William Shaw, Jenifer Linthicum, Stacy Linthicum, Tony Linthicum, Christopher Shaw, Ryan Shaw, Chase Riggins and Riley Riggins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care with a request it go to their Pet Peace of Mind Program which helps hospice patients keep their pets at home with them during an illness.
