He was predeceased by : his parents, Matthew Rigsbee and Elizabeth Perkins Rigsbee; and his siblings, Phala Hoops, Helen Perkins, Inez Gowan, Doris Stephenson, Wallace Rigsbee, Junior Rigsbee, Louis Rigsbee, Warren Rigsbee and Billy Perkins.

He is survived by : his wife Nona Jenkins Rigsbee; his children, Patricia Rigsbee Dixon of Greensboro, Pam Rigsbee Garrett (Jeff) of Julian, Joy Smith (Bob) of Charleston, SC and Reverend James Allen Rigsbee of Cary; his grandchildren, Johnny Garrett, Jonathan Dixon, Jason Dixon, Jennifer Garrett Rakestraw, Brandon Rigsbee, Joel Rigsbee, David Bell and Edward Bell; and his great grandchildren, Taylor Garrett, Parker Dixon, Reagan Dixon, Lillian Rakestraw, Brady Dixon, Jack Rakestraw and Olivia Rigsbee.
