He was predeceased by : his parents, Clifford McCarthy and Marion McCarthy (Allender); his brothers, Tom and Jim; and his daughter Jenny.
He is survived by : his stepdaughter Jennifer; his wife Karen McCarthy (Ruprich); his children, Shannon McCarthy (Trish) of Mars, PA, Shelly Haas (Jim) of Cleveland Heights, OH and Carrie Ivey (Brad) of Greensboro, NC.; and his grandchildren, Delaney, Mary Ella McCarthy, Egan, Cormac, Rowan Haas, Kelsey and Paige Ivey.
