She was predeceased by : her aunt Lelia B. Kirkman; and her siblings, Kirkman, Jr., Marian K. Murchison and Stacy Kirkman. She is survived by : her husband Charles A. Routh. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Mary and Charles Routh Education Fund at Friends Homes in Greensboro, NC established by the Rouths, Centre Friends Meeting, or Shepherd Center in Greensboro.
