It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Davenport Skiles of Plymouth, North Carolina, born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, who passed away on November 25, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Forbes Davenport and Myra Nell Vann; her husband Benjamin Skiles, Jr. (Frank); her daughter Gina Skiles Mayer; and her granddaughter Jessie Mayer.
She is survived by: her children, Eric H. Christensen (Amanda) of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Benjamin Skiles (Molly) of Roxbury, CT and Amy Skiles Moricle (Eddie) of Plymouth, NC; her son-in-law Mercer Mayer of Roxbury, CT; her sister Myra Herring (Henry) of Wilmington, NC; her grandchildren, Harlan Christensen, Elise Christensen, Caleb McNair, Justine McNair, Benjamin Mayer, Zeb Mayer, Arden Mayer and Matilda Skiles; and her great grandchildren, Autumn Mayer and Charlotte McNair.
