We are sad to announce that on August 26, 2023, at the age of 94, William Haywood Modlin of Plymouth, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Haywood Modlin and Harriet Elizabeth "Betty" Waters Modlin. He is survived by : his wife Janice Ann Rogerson Modlin; his grandson William David Steele; his sons-in-law, Bob Nunally and Douglas Steele; his siblings, Livie Sherman, Blanche Ricks, Dorothy Baggette, Essie Pearl Scott, Dolly Chesson, Mayo Modlin, James Modlin and Bobby Modlin; his daughters, Joyce Modlin Steele of Plymouth, NC and Harriet Modlin Nunnally of Jamesville, NC; his brothers, Raymond Modlin of Robersonville, NC and David Modlin of Plymouth, NC; his close friend Harry Sexton; his grandchildren, Doug Steele, Jr. (Annaliesa), Stacie Hassell (Joe), Heather Dotson (Tommy) and Beth Van (Dan); his great grandchildren, Derek, Kimber, Kevin, Kelly of Ben, R. J., Victoria and Nick; and his great great grandchildren, Kelsey, Olivia, Freya, Emily, Derek, Jr., Browning, Trenton, Nathan, Anniston, Kevin Jr., Emma Grace, Anderson, Aubrey, Mason, Maeleigh, Bryson and Bronson.
