He was predeceased by: his parent Charles Curtis Bowers. He is survived by: his parent Helms Bowers; his daughter Brittney Thomas; his son-in-law Michael Thomas of Myrtle Beach, SC; his son Drake Bowers of Norwood; and his sister-in-law Darryl.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o, Susie McSwain, 424 Pork Rd., Peachland, NC 28133.
