He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Franklin; his wife Mickie Cranford Preslar; his son Tommy Preslar; and his siblings, Rose McWhirter, Pearl Rushing, Vera Tweed, Ernest Preslar and Walter Preslar.
He is survived by: his parent Bessie Ellen Preslar; his children, Dean Preslar (Pam) of Indian Trail, Terri Ronzo (Joe) of Salisbury, Becky Jones of Marshville, Chuck Preslar (Robin) and Joel Preslar (Betty); his sibling Ray Preslar of Thomasville; and also Betty Yandle of Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 900 W. Roosevelt Blvd.,, Monroe, NC 28110.
