He is survived by : his children, John Tyson (Connie) of Norwood and Ginna Tyson Vest (Steve) of Winston-Salem; his grandchildren, Savannah Tyson, Kattie Tyson, Claudia Tyson, Abby Vest, Andrew Vest and Christopher Vest; his siblings, Robert "Shorty" Tyson (Dot) of Wadesboro, Alice Moehler of Rockingham, Ella Hargett of Wingate and Jennie Thomas of Wadesboro; and his brother-in-law Joe Gaddy of Wadesboro.
