It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba McKenzie (Polkton, North Carolina), who passed away on January 16, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melba McKenzie to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wayland Dyson and Gracie Mae Corthren Dyson; her husband Tommy McKenzie; and her brother Dale Dyson. She is survived by: her children, Alan McKenzie (Monica) of Mint Hill, Melissa Phillips (Gerald) of Wadesboro and Edward McKenzie (Crystal) of Polkton; her grandchildren, Holly Blackwelder (Dusty Efird) of Albemarle, Brooke Phillips (Jordan Lowery) of Wadesboro, Rachel Young and Philip Young (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Destiny Blackwelder and Austin Blackwelder; and her sisters-in-law, Martha McKenzie of Marshville and Ann Frank of Hickory.
