He is survived by : his mother Joyce Nance Johnson of Polkton; his wife Tracie Ratliff Johnson; his children, Matthew, Maddison and Kaiden; his sister Lorrie Johnson Harrell (Ron) of Polkton; his nephews, Jeremy Funderburke (Stephanie) of Polkton and Jamie Funderburke (Katie) of Polkton; his great-nieces, Peyton, Madalyn, Bayla and Bonnie; his parents-in-law, Wesley and Cindy Ratliff of Wadesboro; and his sister-in-law Jennifer Deges (Jeremy) of Wadesboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mineral Springs Baptist Church or to Hospice of Union County.
