He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Brigman "Pete" Rivers and Mamie Lee Tomlinson Rivers; and his brother Robert Julian "Bobby" Rivers. He is survived by: his wife Martha Cameron Rivers; his sister Sarah "Teena" Hatcher (Alex) of Henderson; his cousin Betty Lou Horne of Peachland; and his brother-in-law Jim Cameron (Cheryl) of Oakboro.
