He was predeceased by: his parents, James Adderson and Venie Creech Whitley. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Whitley; his children, Randy Whitley of Swansboro, Kim Phillips (Danny) of Cedar Point, Kent Davis, Karen Davis and Amy Blinson (Gregg) of Clayton; his grandchildren, Ashley Raymond of Maryland, Kyle Davis of Clayton, Zach Blinson of Raleigh and Zane Blinson of Clayton; his great grandchild Zaden Raymond of Maryland; his sisters, Barbara Batten of Kenly, Huel Massengill (Jerry) of Smithfield and Frances Batten of Kenly; and his sister-in-law Sandra Stallings. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
