She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles "C. L." McLamb and Myrtle Tyner McLamb; and her son-in-law David Bamford. She is survived by : her husband Linwood Massey; her children, Tracy Massey Bamford of Clayton and Brad Massey (Jennifer) of Princeton; her grandchildren, Aubrey Bamford, Layton Massey and Allie Massey; and her sister Deborah Godwin (Brian) of Selma.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tee's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church (6439 Brogden Rd, Smithfield, NC 27577). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
