She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Dabney Heartt and Florence Egerton Heartt; and her brother Leo Dabney Heartt, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Anne Heartt Gregory of Durham, Quentin Gregory, III of Halifax and Edwin Heartt Gregory of Cary; her grandchildren, Samuel Gregory Bruton of Charlotte, Eleanor Burns Bruton of Durham, Savannah Marie Gregory and Edwin Heartt Gregory, Jr. of Cary; and her great grandchild Hayes Stewart Bruton of Charlotte.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oakwood Cemetery (701 Oakwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27601). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Springmoor (1500 Sawmill Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her honor to the North Carolina Symphony, 3700 Glenwood Ave., Suite 130, Raleigh, NC 27612.
