She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Key and Mamie Ashburn Key; her siblings, JoAnn Key Spainlour, Marie Key Holt, Howard Key and Roy Key; and her parents-in-law, Mamie Morrison Godfrey and Ernest Godfrey.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Blue Godfrey; her children, Kimberly Nichole Godfrey (Michael) of Angier and Kevin Nicholas Godfrey (Suzanne) of Knightdale; her sister Barbara Key McDaniel (Tony) of Cooleemee; and her grandchildren, David Godfrey, Josh Godfrey, Lance Godfrey, Kayla Hutchins (Robert) and Avery Dean. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home (300 E McIver St, Angier, NC 27501).
