He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond E. Long and Ella Grove Long; his wife JoAnn Fisher Long; and his son Matthew Kevin Long. He is survived by: his brother Lester Long; his son Barry Long (Susan) of Raleigh; his grandson Tyler Long (Hannah); his great grandchild Austin Long; his daughter-in-law Lysa Long; and his granddaughter Emily Long.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark's United Methodist Church (4801 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609).
