She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Wright Dorn and Elliotte Anna Finch Dorn; her siblings, Robert Dorn and Dorothy "Dottie" Dorn Couch; and her half-sister Ellen Dorn Garman.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Abner Benner, Jr.; and her daughters, Martha (George Hokayem), Anne (Jim Davis), Sarah (George Scott) and Alice (David Spickard). She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Christ the King Presbyterian Church (1417 Clifton St, Raleigh, NC 27604).
