She was predeceased by: her parents, Alma Fisher Finch and Waylon D. Finch; her husband Homer Monson; her former husband Rex Tippett; the father of her children H. Monson; and her pet Mike.
She is survived by: her children, Marlo Willis, Finch Monson (Caroline), Gene Monson (Sara) and John Monson (Susan); her grandchildren, Waylon Willis (Margaret), Rodger Willis, Elizabeth Raggi (Joe), Emily Monson, Jack Monson and Reagan Monson; and her great grandchildren, Walker Willis and Arthur Raggi. She is also survived by her four children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Edenton Street United Methodist Church (228 W Edenton St, Raleigh, NC 27603). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sharon Memorial Park (5716 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zebulon United Methodist Church, 121 W. Gannon Ave, Zebulon, NC 27597.
