He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse "PaPa" Green and Mary Frances Green; his wife Annie Green; and his siblings, James May, Jessie Green Lavender "Boo", Nancy Green Johnson "NeeNee", Amie Louise Green and Doris "BigD" of Washington.
He is survived by: his children, Annie Green Cooper of Raleigh, NC, Sylvester H. Green, Jr. of Bessemer, AL, Terry J. Green of Bessemer, AL, Tiara Green, Kindel Reddick, JayQuan Hill Green and Rodterrius Green; and his great grandchildren, Teresa Howard, Ayden Green Jones and Raiya Stephens Green. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
