It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Kilby (Randleman, North Carolina), born in Bristol, Virginia, who passed away on September 19, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Wilmer and Ella Mae Canter Kilby; and his sister Peggy Colleen Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ball Kilby; his children, Danny Kilby (Maureen) of Asheboro, Connie Hutchens (Gary) of Greensboro and Betsy Hockett (Keith) of Level Cross; and his brothers, Charlie Kilby (Violet Lane) of Bristol and Harry Kilby (Lynda) of Bristol. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.
