She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse James Mitchell and Lula Jane Mullins Mitchell; her husband Ellis Preston "Jim" Cooper; her sons, Johnny Ellis Cooper and Clell Cooper; and her siblings, Nora Jackson, Myrtle Jewell, Melda Hicks, Margaret Mitchell, Marie Mitchell, Charlie Mitchell, Britt Mitchell, Newt Mitchell, Hassell Mitchell and Sam Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Cheryl Coble (Randy) of Randleman, NC and Mose Cooper of Jolo, WV; her brother Jay Mitchell of Fredericksburg, VA; her grandchildren, Katie Cooper Atkins (Matt), Jimmy Cooper, Kimberly Boyd and Junior Stacy; and her nieces and nephews, Bonita Fletcher (Randy), Carmella Matney, Husband Rodney, Katherine Matney, Charlene Cline, Mekesha Baldwin (Dean), Jessica Cline, Justin Cline, Jason Cline, Cameron Cline, Wilma Young, Kayla Young and Kim Hagerman (David).
