She is survived by: her husband Lamar Whittle; her daughters, Betty Whittle, Barbara Grills and Emily Whittle; and her grandson Bennett Grills. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She is remembered by her husband in the words of Wadsworth, as "a perfect woman, nobly planned, to warm, to comfort and command; and yet a spirit still, and bright, with something of angelic light."
