Mary Helen Flagg Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2025, at the age of 76, Mary Helen Flagg of Rowland, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Helen Flagg to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Thomas and Helen Thomas Carter; her granddaughter Harlee Tarrell Strickland; and her siblings, Marilyn Hunt, John H. Thomas, Earl Ray Thomas and Mazelene Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Shirlene Strickland, Darlene Chavis (Timmy) and Homer McKinley Strickland (Jessica); her cousin Diane Locklear; her grandchildren, Maranda L. Strickland, Zachary T. Chavis (Jordan), Destiny Locklear, Austin Locklear (Lauren) and Cerles Locklear; her friend Judy Oxendine; and her caregiver Teresa Casanova. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (812 S Main St, Red Springs, NC 28377). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
