He was predeceased by : his parents, Angus Guy and Nancy Caroline Douglas McInnis; his grandson Kegan McInnis; and his siblings-in-law, Bud Bramley and Shelia Carrasco.

He is survived by : his wife Peggy Bunton McInnis; his children, Mark McInnis (Sherri) of Mooresville, Suzanne M. Cotter (Mark) of Reidsville and Debbie M. Huffstetler (Mark) of Wilmington; his sister Caroline M. Bramley of Statesville; his brother-in-law John Grogan of Loveland, CO; his grandchildren, Lauren McInnis (Diedier Treudic), Jillian McInnis, Cami McInnis, Delilah McInnis, Jordan Kluttz (Carson), Olivia Martin (Charley) and Chris Cotter; his great grandchildren, Selevin and Bluesen Treudic; and his friends, Kaleigh Roe and Taylor Martin.
