She was predeceased by : her parents, Millard Fillmore Saunders and Lela Walker Saunders Wright; her husband Lowell Franklin Strickland; and her siblings, Judy S. Moore, Sandra S. McKinney and Millard Fillmore Saunders Jr..

She is survived by : her daughter Kimberly Strickland Jones (Bruce) of Gibsonville; her grandsons, Isaac Jones (Rachel) of Greensboro and Eli Jones (Shyanne Jobe) of Reidsville; her sisters, Shelby S. McBane of Snow Camp and Mona S. Gunn (Nelson) of Elon; and her caregivers, Leslie Chilton, Aimee Scott, Chyanne Trent, Carrie Kirby, Leah Nance and Mary Ellen Chilton.
