He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mason Martin and Mary Woodall Martin Pennington; his siblings, Otis G. Martin, Edna M. Lewis and Frances M. Hearp; and his daughter-in-law Angela Carter Martin.
He is survived by: his close friend Annie Ruth Isley Martin (Ann); his children, Dale Martin of South Mills, NC, Kathy Martin Goolsby (Ronnie) of Rock Hill, SC, Valerie Martin Marsh (Tommy) of Reidsville, NC and Regina Martin London (Charles) of Reidsville, NC; and his grandchildren, John Goolsby (Amanda) of Blythewood, SC, Melissa Martin Wright (Kevin) of South Mills, NC, Clifton Goolsby (Hannah) of Rock Hill, SC, Alison Marsh Smith (Waldo) of Reidsville, NC, Christopher Martin (Krystal) of South Mills, NC, Lauren Marsh Terrell (Bryson) of Reidsville, NC, Blake London (Ashley) of Hawthorne, CA and Chase London (Grace) of Mooresville, NC. He is also survived by four children, eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be made to Baptist Temple Church, 729 Wentworth Street, Reidsville, NC 27320 in lieu of flowers.
