She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hayes and Kate Smith McKinney; her husband Jay R. McCollum; her children, Breck McCollum and Sloan McCollum Foster; and her siblings, Barbara McKinney Watts, Geraldine McKinney and John McKinney, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Christie Miller Bates of Cary and Dr. Eric McCollum (Debbie); and her grandchildren, Lindsey Bates Adams (Walker), Mason Foster, Alexander Bates and Dillon Foster. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Reidsville (409 S Main St, Reidsville, NC 27320). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (409 S Main St, Reidsville, NC 27320).
