He was predeceased by: his father Rodney Phibbs, Sr.; and his sister Martha Ruth Phibbs. He is survived by: his wife Donna Phibbs; his children, Rodney Stewart Phibbs III (Nicole) and India Phibbs Williams (Jason); his granddaughter Emma; his sister Jane Rainey (David); his daughters, Margaret Essary and Shana Madden; and his friend Larry Abbot. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
