He is survived by: his children, Adele "Del" Strickland Bass (Bob) of Franklin, TN and James Lester "Les" Strickland of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Austin Bass and Sawyer Claire Bass; his siblings, Coleman Strickland (Barbara Nell) of Wendell, Grady Strickland (Faye) of Raleigh and Marie S. Boykin (Warren) of Zebulon; and his sister-in-law Laura Strickland of Dunn.
