She was predeceased by: her parents, James Eli and Annie Taylor Stafford; her husband Fred C. Dobey; her daughter Cathy Brown; her siblings, Betty Carol Coker, Joyce Ross and Buck Thomas Suggs; her granddaughter Heather Richardson Gagnon; and her great grandchild Macie Nicole Gagnon.
She is survived by: her son Franklin Wayne Richardson (Rhonda) of Kinston; and her sister Mary Stafford Carter of Roanoke Rapids.
