Simmons (Carl) of Rocky Mount; his grandson Justin V. Hawkins of Roanoke Rapids; and his siblings, Nancy Barnett (Chris) of Abington, VA, Ralph, Shirley Brown and Ann Taylor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
