It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Langston Hinton Tew of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, who passed away on September 16, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Carrington and Margaret Elizabeth Seamster Hinton; her husband James Richard; and her brother Leon C. Hinton, Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, James Richard "Jimmy" Tew, Jr. (Sherry) of Winston Salem, NC and William Hayes "Billy" Tew (Lisa) of Henrico, VA; and her grandchildren, James Richard Tew, III (Becca), Sara Elizabeth Willingham (Jonathan), William Hayes Tew, Jr., Evelyn Tew of Virginia and Elizabeth Wilkie Tew. She is also survived by her six great grandchildren.
