Frankie Mae Nicholson Richardson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frankie Mae Nicholson Richardson of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on September 11, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Sallie Nicholson; her spouse Basie Richardson; her daughters, Henrietta Burgess and Evelyn Richardson; her granddaughter Pamela Burgess; her great grandchildren, Lola Harvey and Jamiyah Richardson; and her brothers, Howard and Richard Nicholson.

She is survived by: her children, Joyce Neville (Kenneth), Susan R. Phipps, Stacey Richardson, Marcile Richardson (Avery), Basie Richardson (Jenna), Bettie Ingram, Gloria Evans (Jonathan), Alvin Edwards, James Lee (Charlane), Willie Mae Harvey (James), Shorn Williams, Sue Hendricks, Lillie Fields and Mary Alston; her sister Doretha Norman; and her siblings-in-law, Caroline Nicholson, Eloise Batchelor, Irene Pullen, Lucinda Alston and Salbert Richardson. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.

Because of Covid-19, the CDC guidelines will be followed for all services by limiting the number of persons in attendance.
