He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred C. Herring and Birdette Richardson Herring; his sons, Ricky Herring and Dale Herring; and his siblings, Lois Keeter, Teenie Edwards, Laura Ann Steele and Johnson. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren.
