He was predeceased by: his stepmother Ola Mae Barber; and his grandson Jerome Britt, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Brenda Barber-Bryant (William) of Rocky Mount, Bernard (Carmen) of Colorado and Jerome Britt, Sr. of Seaboard; his grandchildren, Tynell, Chindria, Lance, Shonda and Samantha; and his nieces, Diane Barber-Pittman, Linda Barber-Smith, Emma Barber and Deborah Latham. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; six brothers; seven sisters.
