She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Carter and Betty Brooks Carter; her husband Charles Grissom; and her sister Dora Lee Cook. She is survived by: her son Kenny Porch (Donna) of Gaston; her brother Andrew Thomas Carter of Greenville, NC; her brother-in-law William Cook Sr. of Gaston; her grandchildren, Chris, Travis and Danielle Porch; and her sibling's children, Betty J, Darlene Maxwell, William Cook Jr, Andrew Hallenbeck and Sherry Vowell.
