He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Alphys Bissette and Myrtie Patterson Bissette; his wife Hazel Bissette; his son Jerry Bissette; his son-in-law Ellis "Bubba" Williamson; his granddaughter Patricia Bissette; and his siblings, AJ, Jack, Bobby, Estelle Webb and Ruby Joyner.
He is survived by: his children, Penny B. Williamson, Cindy Bissette, Glenn Bissette (Barbara) and Amy Alston (Andy); his grandchildren, April Portillo, Christy Williamson, Bryan (Harp), Travis, Jessica Bissette, Levi Alston, Joshua Wallace and Kayla Jackson; his great grandchildren, Ricardo E. Portillo, Victorina Portillo, Addy, Maisie, Ryleigh, Collin, Bentley Bissette, Tatiana Zuniga and Lydia Winship; and his brother Frank Bissette (Betty) of Rocky Mount. He is also survived by children that he loved as his own; several nieces and nephews.
