He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence E. Simmons. He is survived by: his mother Jean Newsome Simmons; his children, Tara Simmons of Littleton, Bryce Simmons of St. John's, FL and Skye Simmons of St. John's, FL; his siblings, Root Simmons (Susan) and Crystal Harp (David) of Roanoke Rapids; and his siblings' children, Andrew Hardin, Lauren Shapiro (Joe), Kandace Treadway (Joshua), Ridge Simmons and Shelby Newsome.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service to assist with expenses.
