He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Ray Tripp and Stella Ruby Green Tripp. He is survived by: his fiancé Shirly H. Allen; his daughter Cheryl Tripp Lee of Roanoke Rapids; his siblings, Carlton "Buck" Tripp Jr. of Gaston and Ruby Lena Vandyke of Henrico, N. C.; his grandchildren, Dwayne Heustess, Lenzie Hardin, Jeremy Tripp, Jakob Tripp, Julia Tripp and Ava Tripp; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Leland, Gabby Heustess and Daniel Smith; and also, Cynthia Allen Thomas of Roanoke Rapids and James Irvin Allen of Roanoke Rapids. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
