It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Watson Bridgers (Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina), who passed away on September 2, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Neutron Watson and Ella Mae Martin Watson; her husband William Henry Bridgers; her children, Jeffrey Bridgers and Debby Bridgers; her granddaughter Peyton Gleason; her daughter-in-law Sandi Bridgers; and her sister Carol Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Bridgers (Robbie) of Conway, NC, Alesia Reeves (Todd) of Iron Station, NC and Henry Bridgers (Jenny Jenkins) of Conway, NC; her siblings, Brenda Meyer (Bill) of Rolling Meadows, IL and Charlie Watson (Net) of Midlothian, VA.; her grandchildren, Joshua Bridgers of Conway, NC, Corrie Harrison (Bill) of Murfreesboro, NC, Cameron McPherson (Joshua) of Fayetteville, NC and Slayton Bridgers of Gastonia, NC; her stepgrandchildren, Matthew Reeves of Maiden, NC, Samantha Demer (Zachary) of Virginia Beach, VA and Savannah Reeves of Iron Station, NC; her great grandchildren, Reid Harrison and Bridger McPherson; and her stepgreat-grandson Adrian Demer.
The Reverend Carol Taylor will conduct the graveside service at Milwaukee Cemetery on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 11:00 a. m. Due to Covid-19 limitations, there will be no formal visitation at the funeral home, but friends and family are invited to pay respects and sign the guest register at Askew Funeral Home in Jackson, NC.
