He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard William Pepper and Maggie Shaw Pepper; his wives, Erma Edwards Pepper and Irma Barham Pepper; and his siblings, Lillie Andleton, Reginald Pepper, Clarice Shaw, Dorothy Green and Joe Pepper.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Paige Gay, Gary Harris (Barbara), Trudy Jones and Tim Harris (Linda). He is also survived by eleven step-grandchildren; eighteen step- great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
