It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Rook Dickens (Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina), born in Hopewell, Virginia, who passed away on October 31, 2017, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Howard Dickens; her grandson Lorin Harrington; and her siblings, Wade, Clifton Rook and Gladys Rook Ogburn.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Dickens of Roanoke Rapids and Angie D. Merritt (Marshall) of Roanoke Rapids; her grandchildren, Geoff Harrington (Rachel), Thomas and Christopher Dickens; and her great grandchildren, Ginger and Bradley Harrington.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Union Mission.
