He is survived by: his wife Ann Smith; his sons, Robert Smith (Katherine) and Richard Smith (Scarlet); his grandchildren, Collin Smith, Candice Smith and Garrett Smith; his siblings, Alfred Smith (Dot) and Leila Pittard; and his sister-in-law Arlene Smith of Roanoke Rapids. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
